Summer is passing us by fast, and before we know it, US Congress will be back in session. This year, Democrats have an opportunity to pass bold investment without being blocked by Republicans. They can do so by using a process called “budget reconciliation.” On August 19th, in every state of the union, Green New Deal Network allies will rally together in support of legislation that will #SealTheDeal for climate, care, jobs, and justice.

What: #SealTheDeal National Day of Action: Climate, Care, Jobs & Justice! (Kingston, NY)
When: Thursday, August 19th at 1pm
Where: The Office of Congressman Antonio Delgado- 254 Clinton Ave, Kingston, NY 12401
Who: Allies fighting against environmental injustice and causes to the climate crisis
Why: We are calling on our elected officials nationwide to support climate, jobs, justice in the upcoming budget reconciliation bill and infrastructure bills that are likely to be passed once Congress is back in session. Now is the time to tell our Members of Congress that:
1) We want to see them fight to invest every dollar, for the people – no cuts!
2) We need them to protect investments in climate solutions, care, jobs, and justice.

In the Hudson Valley, we're mobilizing our allies, and encouraging Representative Antonio Delgado (D-19) to push for support on prioritizing the climate crisis and an equitable transition off fossil fuels.

Join the Green New Deal Network, NY Renews, and many others on August 19th! As constituents, let's encourage Representative Delgado to push forward as a leader. Let's give him the gentle, positive, and informative nudge that sets him on the right side of history. Climate, care, jobs & justice!
